A Musical Event at Sandringham

On Sunday evening we were among the tens of thousands who descended on Sandringham Estate, in Norfolk, for a music festival with Gabrielle, Beverley Knight and Michael Bublé.

Sandringham

From the website:

Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Including an organic farm, sawmill, residential and commercial properties, local parishes and communities nestled in the heart of The Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It really is a lovely part of the country, and to host a weekend of music festivals not only brings the crowds, but also helps to raise funds towards the upkeep of this dramatic landscape.

We’ve been Michael Bublé fans for years; his song “Everything” is our song!

To see him live is fantastic. We don’t go to many concerts, so this was a real experience for us.

It was the culmination of a few days enjoying the Norfolk countryside; the beaches at Cromer and Overstrand and the town of King’s Lynn.

Following the concert, we then had a bus journey back to the hotel which, due to the huge amount of traffic took 2 and a half hours! It should have been 20 minutes!

Sandringham Part 2

The following day we returned to look at Sandringham properly; the beautiful gardens, the Royal House and all the history that entails.

It's so fascinating to get a 'peak behind the doors' of the Royal Family - how they live, the modernisations, the traditions and so much more.

We had a lovely time, and if you get the chance then I recommend popping in; maybe on your way to the seaside at Cromer.
