The Catharsis of Lego
I love building Lego, but I don’t build as often as I’d like; primarily because of the cost.
Lego is not a cheap hobby!
As a Disney fan, I really wanted to get the movie camera they created to celebrate 100 years of Disney.
I made a special trip to our big local shopping mall (The Trafford Centre) to purchase said Lego set.
I was giddy as a small child. Determined I would take my time building it, I ended up finishing it in 2 days! Not exactly patient!

I think it looks pretty good.
There is so much detail, it’s amazing. The quality of the build is exactly how you’d expect from Lego; it’s solid.
You can also turn the winder and it makes a smooth clicking sound, reminiscent of the noise when it’s actually running.
The set includes 5 mini-figures; Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Dumbo and Bambi… they all add a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the overall display; (albeit not in the above photo!)
As for the catharsis…
Taking a mental health break is really important. There is just so much going on in our lives, that taking a breather can help us to reset.
I just love the feeling of switching off, and working in silence. Or putting some music on, or listen to a podcast and lose myself.
Just me, my Lego and my thoughts.
