My iPad Setup
I’m writing this on my iPad mini - version 6.
The only difference is that the newest version enables Apple Intelligence, not something I’m very interested in.
When I bought it, I also bought the Apple Pencil 2… and that is not compatible with the latest iPad mini, so yet another reason not to ‘upgrade’.
However, I have been using the pencil less and less, in fact, so little that I made the decision to remove the Paperlike screen protector and go au naturel.
I noticed that the screen was immediately a little clearer and brighter. Not a massive change, but noticeable.
I have now set up my iPad mini as a writing device. I have my external Apple keyboard and mouse paired with it, and my iPad is set up on its stand.
I know what you’re thinking…. Yes, I do…
Why am I not using my MacBook Air? What does the iPad do that I can’t do on my laptop?
Of course, the answer to that is ‘nothing’.
However, what I do like is that the iPad uses the entire screen, blocks my view of the dock, and means I’m less likely to be detracted from what I’m doing.
Why have I never thought of this before? Good question and I don’t know.
It does make me wonder if I had a larger iPad, would it replace my MacBook? Why would I want to do that?
So. Here I am and, ironically, I’m using my Bear note-taking app to write my post for my Bear blog!
Made me smile when I realised that 😀
